Abb-d Taiyo

Driftime

Abb-d Taiyo is co-founder and director at digital agency and B Corp, Driftime®. A design and impact agency that approaches complex challenges at the intersection of purpose and intention, Abb-d works to champion digital experiences that create meaningful and enduring social, environmental, and economic impact. Ever the unconventionalist, Abb-d didn’t follow a traditional route into the industry via formal design education, instead finding himself shooting hoops in New York City playing basketball with some of the best prospects in the field. A few years down the line, following many years leading on major projects and brands at large agencies, Abb-d grew tired of what he describes as “purposeless commercial briefs” and decided he only wanted to work with clients committed to ESG goals. Driftime® work exclusively within the three pillars of sustainability (social, environmental, and economic) with strict criteria on who they work with in partners and prospects. Driftime® became a B-Corp in 2021, both advocating for impact-driven solutions to complex challenges, and empowering partners to create real change with a high-performing team, and extended partners globally.

Originally from Ireland and presently in Los Angeles, her career has taken her from Dublin, Toronto, NYC, San Francisco, and back to NYC again.

Currently, Lucia is Group Creative Director, at TBWA Media Arts Lab in LA, where she is focused on ︎Apple. So far, this includes launching “Data Auction” Apple’s Privacy campaign, defining a scalable brand motion design system, something fun on TikTok and helping launch iPhone 14 in new spaces.

Working in partnership with the architectural stream, Richard enjoys helping clients design with the interior spaces front of mind and how these spaces will be inhabited by the end user. When approaching a project, Richard first looks at the context – the architecture, landscape and materiality – to find conceptual points that can bring deeper, nuanced meaning to a design. But it always comes back to a human-centred approach, “Having that end-user front and centre in our mind when we’re creating and detailing spaces allows for a much richer and more experiential interior for the people who will interact and inhabit it.”
