Aiken, a communications agency celebrating its 30th anniversary, faced a challenge with their outdated website, which no longer reflected their evolving vision. The goal was to create a dynamic, user-friendly site that showcased their work, clients, and industry insights, while reinforcing their position as a leader in communication expertise. To address this, we refreshed Aiken’s brand elements, using the AIKEN fullstop from their logo to develop an animated graphic suite as the core of the new visual identity. Our minimalist design approach allowed content and case studies to take centre stage, with a monochromatic palette enhanced by rich, engaging visuals. The website was crafted to be a versatile platform for showcasing Aiken’s extensive portfolio and facilitating easy internal updates.

How the brief was fulfilled

The redesigned Aiken website features a sleek, minimalist aesthetic accentuated by vibrant content. We wanted to ensure there was a happy balance between static and moving imagery, to keep the viewer engaged. Key elements include a custom animated graphic suite derived from the AIKEN fullstop, which provides a cohesive and modern visual identity. Recognising AIKEN’s extensive portfolio and the fast-paced nature of the industry, we designed the website to serve as a platform for sharing insights, projects, and stories.
Between the playful moments of digital expression through motion, is a hard working system built to showcase the array of content AIKEN has to share. As communication is rapid, it was important that the website was easily updated by AIKEN internally. We ensured that our system was both robust and versatile, allowing the team to upload with ease.
