Enignum Shelves. This series is free formed in wood – arriving at forms which the material has influenced. It is a fluid process which brings the life of the material (wood) into the finished work, revealing not only the honesty of the structure but the sculpted form which is a unique collaboration of man and material.

How the brief was fulfilled

These pieces were created for Design Miami in December – it is always a challenge to realise these pieces that are both about the mastery of the craft but also the freedom of the material and the intention of the idea. It is breaking rules and yet also working on back of strong foundations in traditional craft.
