How the brief was fulfilled

My name is Kate Tracey and I’m a Senior Designer, based in Belfast, working for Crown Creative. My passion lies in creating work that is both visually captivating and strategically sharp. For me, the success of any brand or campaign lies in the impact it has on the audience it affects – this is what motivates my work. Whether branding a rooftop cocktail bar with views of Times Square (Highball, Hilton Times Sq), the hospitality group responsible for catering the Emmys (Patina Group), reimagining the hotel bar that’s served presidents, celebrities and stars so that it can enjoy a new Golden Age (Peacock Alley, Waldorf Astoria), or Belfast’s latest coffee shops and local eateries (Neighbourhood Cafe, Vero True Food) I enjoy rising to the challenge of whatever brief is put in front of me.

To be working on many ‘pinch me’ projects I could only have dreamed of when starting out, I am grateful to the designers, mentors and studios that have enabled me to do so.

I am so proud to be leading a team of talented and driven female designers. From interior designers to strategists and account directors, I am inspired everyday by the expertise of those around me and enjoy broadening my sense of what it is to be a ‘designer’ by learning from them. I am incredibly proud to be part of and represent a studio that is passionate about reducing inequalities and championing females within the design industry.
